quite和very修饰形容词有何区别？用法有什么不一样？其实quite 和very 都是副词，very 还能作形容词和名词，但quite只有副词属性 作为副词，从释义上看，“很”“”“完全”，可能感觉不到明显的差别。那么如何看待quite+形容词和very+形容词这两种表达的区别呢?

　　一般情况下，从程度，情感态度和语气上

　　quite 弱， very 强

　　用excited 作例，通过翻译感知下

　　They were quite excited about moving to a new place.

　　搬新家了他们有点兴奋。

　　quite excited = a little excited

　　They were very excited about moving to a new place.

　　搬新家了他们级(炒鸡)兴奋。

　　very + excited = totally excited

　　有一般情况就有特殊，在口语中，如果quite跟一个non-gradable形容词, 怎么理解, non-gradable, 即：不能分级，不能比较，非黑即白，非对即错，这种类型的形容词，比如“错”和“对”，这类形容词。

　　She was quite right.

　　她完全正确。

　　注意：very不能修饰这些“形容词”比如：

　　very right (x) 错误滴

　　可以修饰“形容词”的副词有： absolutely, completely, really and totally

　　absolutely right (√) 正确滴

　　总结：

　　一般quite加形容词，可理解为，适度的，有点

　　a little, moderately but not very, totally or completely

　　但quite+形容词时，quite 表强调，，很，级，跟very 意义又一样了。

　　注意：

　　quite还有其他一些用法，quite +名词，表强调

　　It makes quite a difference when the wind isn’t blowing.

　　不刮风又是果真不一样(又是另一番样子)。
